{"componentChunkName":"component---node-modules-csam-gatsby-theme-guides-src-templates-documentation-js","path":"/docs/ug112/","webpackCompilationHash":"9887d4de5ab7489123d8","result":{"data":{"allFile":{"edges":[{"node":{"name":"ug112","childMarkdownRemark":{"html":"<p>Users within a specific role have the ability to assign child assets to an asset.</p>\n<h2>Locate the Parent Asset</h2>\n<ol>\n<li>From the main menu, select <strong>Operations</strong>, then <strong>Asset Details</strong>:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-001.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Dataset\"></p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Enter the Asset Number into the field shown and select Search or hit enter on your keyboard to return the results:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-002.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Search\"></p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>To open the asset, double click on the grey area to the left of the Asset Number column as shown:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-003.png\" alt=\"Asset Number Column\"></p>\n<h2>Assign Child Assets</h2>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>From the Asset Details screen, select <strong>Functions>Add Child Assets</strong>.</li>\n<li>The system will now take you to the Asset Details search screen page:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-004.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Search\"></p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>If you know the Asset Number you wish to assign to the Parent Type, enter the number into the Asset Number field and select Search or hit Enter on your keyboard:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-005.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Search\"></p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Select the row as shown:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-006.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Search Result\"></p>\n<p>Select Close.</p>\n<p>Select Yes to continue or No to cancel the operation .</p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>If you wish to add multiple assets to the parent type, follow steps 4-5, then enter as much criteria into the search fields as possible:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-007.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Search\"></p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Select the row(s) you wish to assign to the parent type, as shown:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-008.png\" alt=\"Asset Details Rows\"></p>\n<p>Select Close.</p>\n<p>Select Yes to continue or No to cancel the operation.</p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li>The child assets have now been assigned, select the <strong>Child Asset</strong> tab within the asset to view:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-009.png\" alt=\"Child Asset\"></p>\n<ol start=\"11\">\n<li>From this view you can check the tickboxes if required:</li>\n</ol>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-010.png\" alt=\"Child Asset Tickboxes\"></p>\n<p>Or Open All to view and update if required:</p>\n<p><img src=\"/img//operations/ug112/ug112-011.png\" alt=\"Child Assets\"></p>","frontmatter":{"title":"How to Assign Child Assets","tags":["operations","assign","child","asset","assets","parent"]}}}}]}},"pageContext":{"isCreatedByStatefulCreatePages":false,"slug":"ug112"}}}
